These terms govern use of Bernard, a private AI assistant for the Polacek family, including its SMS messaging functionality.

Private Use Only

Bernard is a closed, private system operated for personal family use. It is not a commercial product or public service. Access is limited to family members explicitly added by the operator.

SMS Messages

Authorized family members may opt in to Bernard SMS messaging by texting START to (877) 780-4236. By opting in, family members consent to receive SMS text messages including reminders, notifications, and conversational replies. Message frequency varies based on activity and scheduled reminders.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

Opting Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Bernard. To resume, reply START. For assistance, reply HELP.

You may also contact john@polacek.me to be removed from the system entirely.

No Warranties

Bernard is provided as-is for personal family convenience. No guarantees are made regarding uptime, delivery of messages, or accuracy of responses.
